 ‘BRADLEY WALSH: LEGENDS OF COMEDY’

Much loved actor, presenter, comedian and singer Bradley Walsh is returning to his roots and celebrating the biggest comedy stars in a brand new series for Channel 5 – Bradley Walsh: Legends of Comedy (w/t). The 3 x 90’ series was commissioned by Guy Davies, Commissioning Editor, Non-Scripted UK Originals, Channel 5 & Paramount+ and will be produced by Honey Bee.

Bradley Walsh has been at the forefront of British comedy for the last 40 years and during that time he’s met and been inspired by some of the world’s greatest comedy legends. In this series, Bradley celebrates these comedy heroes and heroines, reflecting on their work and the joy and laughter they brought.

From sitcoms to stand ups to double acts, Bradley sets out his all time comedy legends and puts forward his own theory as to why they are the best of all time. Throughout the series Bradley interviews friends such as Alexander Armstrong, Omid Djalili, Jo Brand, Stephen K Amos, Su Pollard, Alison Steadman and Les Dennis and others to unravel the genius of the comedy greats - from Tommy Cooper, Lee Mack and Victoria Wood to Bob Monkhouse, Little and Large and Morecambe & Wise; and revisits classic comedy moments of sitcoms from Hi Di Hi and Dad’s Army to Blackadder and Absolutely Fabulous. This is Bradley Walsh’s insider take on his comedy legends.

Bradley Walsh, host and Executive Producer said: “Having spent the last 40 years of my life working in comedy, it’s been wonderful speaking to some of my favourite people about our favourite comedians who have inspired us throughout our careers. We have a wealth of comedy talent in the UK and it’s a joy to celebrate them all.”

Guy Davies, Commissioning Editor, Non-Scripted UK Originals, Channel 5 & Paramount+ said: “Who better to run though his personal comedy greats than Bradley. Our audience loves Bradley, and we’re honoured to have him on the channel for this big series. With great clips and interviews his run-down of the comedy greats will be the ultimate laughter-fest as the nights draw in.”
